Really liked the second one, but “divorce” struck as me as a particularly odd addition to the list of bad stuff that popped up towards the end. I mean, that’s a pretty weak problem compared to things that can actual kill you, or things like “poverty” and “abuse” which reflect much more widespread problems that have been with us for a long while and have significant problems, whereas divorce is just a glorified breakup. But, I guess something had to be the least impressive on the list, right?
yeah, i was kind of thinking the same thing about divorce. just a bad rupture with money and kids involved. hardly on par with nuclear weapons, tsunamis, and wwii. still, must sting a little.
I watched Suzie on YouTube with my ten-year-old son. We were amused and it led to a good discussion about “magical thinking.” I went back the next day and the video has been labeled “offensive” and cannot be viewed unless on signs in with a YouTube account.
With all the truly offensive crap on YouTube, THIS is what folks find offensive?
I find blatantly fallacious logic and overly zealous and rigid opinions offensive, does that mean I can get all those preachers on restricted? I wouldn’t want children stumbling upon something that offensive.
I thought the first video was great, and I enjoyed the second one right up until the moronic and embarrassingly simplistic reference to a passage that is saturated with irony. Nietzsche as a champion of truth? even scientific truth? Amazing! I have to admit, the fact that the second video concludes with a passage that is meant to ridicule desire for scientific certainty does increase my enjoyment of the video a bit.
